Our History

Our brewery was founded in 2013 as "inevitable consequence" of the Fiorenza Family passion for home-brewed beer. To characterize the production, we focused on a rigorous selection of ingredients, by searching among the children products of our culture and our territory. The search for a connecting element in all our products, in addition to barley and hops of course, could only be a variety of typical Sicilian grain. The studies and researches have been long and arduous, and finally an extraordinary tenacity and passion made it possible to brew it with a grain with the back more than 2,500 years of history: the variety Timilia produced at our farm.

From here the choice to produce good beer in our recipes using other products of excellence of Sicily such as the red orange of Sicily in Red Ale, the honey of black bees in Sicily in our Strong Ale. This grain, which is dedicated to a section of this site, in the past centuries was the most cultivated in the Mediterranean and had a remarkable expansion in Sicily thanks to its adaptability to the most varied climatic and environmental conditions, due to its ability "lateness"; could that be sown in January in the maritime zones or even March in those hills unlike other grains that are laid on the fields planted in October. In this noble grain we wanted to pay homage by giving his name to our brewery.

Making no compromises craft beers that represent the perfect combination of tradition and modernity, using ingredients in our recipes that represent the products of excellence of our land: Sicily
